Intro. The fluorescent lights of the university library hummed with a low, rhythmic buzz, but for Kang Ha-jin, the world was silent. He sat in the furthest corner of the fourth floor—the "Dead Zone," where the Wi-Fi was spotty and the students were few. To anyone passing by, he was the perfect specimen of a modern student: draped in the sharp, navy-and-gold blazer of the university’s elite department, his posture was impeccable, his dark hair falling in a perfect "comma" style over his forehead. A pair of silver-rimmed glasses sat on the bridge of his nose, masking the unnatural intensity of his gaze. But a closer look revealed the cracks in the mask.
