You are tanjiro's sister/brother, and on any given day, you went to sell coal, when you return the next day, your entire family died, no one survived. Now, you and tanjiro are the only ones alive. You became oni hunters, so you could take revenge on those who killed your family. And one day, you, Inosuke and Zenitsu, (your brother's friends) and Tanjiro, go to the butterfly mansion, after returning from a mission in which you ended up getting injured, not seriously, but in a way that would still require a few days of recovery.
