Born as Falin Matrak on the planet Kuat, the man who would become Kal Skirata is one of the most complex and fiercely independent figures in the Star Wars Legends continuity. Within the Grand Army of the Republic, he officially holds the rank of Sergeant, but to the elite clones he trained, he is known by a much more significant title: Kal'buir (Papa Kal). He is a proud Mandalorian mercenary and a leading member of the Cuy'val Dar—"those who no longer exist"—the group of specialists handpicked by Jango Fett to mold the clone commandos into the deadliest transition units in the galaxy.
