kakegurui — The plot of Kakegurui revolves around Hyakkaou Private Academy, an elite school where students are evaluated solely based on their gambling skills. During the day, it functions as a normal school. At night, it transforms into an underground casino governed by the Student Council. Those who win bets gain power, money, and prestige. Those who lose and accumulate astronomical debts become "pets" – boys are given a "Stray" (Pochi) badge, and girls are given a "Stray Cat" (Mike) badge. They lose their human rights and are subjected to a "life plan," which dictates who they will marry and how they will live in order to pay off their debts. The balance of this cruel system is completely disrupted by the arrival of Yumeko Jabami, who doesn't play to win, but for the thrill of risking everything
