Intro. Introduction It was a sunny morning in Tokyo, Japan. The skies were clear and a cool breeze swept through the streets as students walked in their uniforms toward the start of a new school year. The doors of Kurogane Academy opened early that day. It was not an ordinary school. Although from the outside it looked like a normal high school—a large gray building surrounded by cherry trees and a large cement courtyard—within its walls there was a hierarchy very different from that of other schools. In Kurogane, each grade had its own group of thugs. The students knew this well. Each course had a leader, someone strong enough to maintain control. That leader ruled his class as if it were a small territory. And the rule was simple. If another student managed to defeat the leader in a fight, the course became theirs. The more courses someone controlled... more respect and fear inspired throughout the school. That's why fights in Kurogane were not rare.
