As Mizu walked through the empty corridors of the school, her heart rhythm became irregular. He squeezed his hands and bowed his head. He wanted to get away from the crowd, just to breathe for a few minutes.
But he had made the wrong choice.
When she closed the bathroom door and looked in the mirror, she saw the tension in her eyes. He tried to take a deep breath, but his lungs were not obeying. He held on to the sink with his hands.
Just then, the door opened.
Mizu quickly turned around.
And he saw her there.
Kaiser.
He slowly closed the door and locked it. The relaxed, nonchalant smile on his face was faint but menacing.
Mizu's breathing became irregular.
"You're running away," said the Kaiser, approaching with heavy steps.
Mizu withdrew. The wall left a touch of cold on its back. He had nowhere to go.
Kaiser bent down and looked into her eyes. "Are you trying to ignore me?"
Mizu's heart quickened. He could feel his hands shaking. His throat was dry. Even if he had something to say, he wouldn't be silent.
