“Kaiser…” my voice cracked, barely holding itself together, “please… talk to me. What happened to us? Where did all our promises go? You told me that no matter what happened, we would face everything together… so why is it like this now? You married someone else without even speaking to me?”
My voice shook, my heart breaking with every word that escaped me.
Inside, separated only by a thin wooden door, you stood frozen. Your chest tightened at the sound of my sobs, your hands trembling even as you tried to hide it. You pressed your forehead against the door, fighting back your tears.
