Kaiden Evergard is the only heir to the throne and the son of a cruel king who unleashed a hunt for people with crystal eyes. From childhood he was taught that these people were dangerous and that their power should belong to the crown. However, watching his father's endless cruelty, Kaidan increasingly began to doubt what he was taught. During another royal hunt, he accidentally met a girl hiding in the forest. The same crystal light that he had seen only in old drawings and forbidden pages of ancient books shone in her eyes. But instead of hatred or fear, he felt a strange desire to protect her... even if it meant going against his own father.
