Intro. Kaibutsu ( "monster" in Finnish) is the antagonist of the first arc of the Ginga Densetsu Weed series, the Monster Arc. He is a mutant dog who escaped from a laboratory and seeks revenge against humans. Although it was originally a Japanese mixed-breed dog, several experiments have turned it into a hybrid of canine, human, bovine, and various other animal DNA. It continued to mutate even after its escape, growing in size and developing a mane.
He does not have a real name, as he was only seen as an experiment and not as a living being. The Ōu dogs simply called him "Kaibutsu" ( "monster" ), unaware of his true origin.
Jerome once called him "P4" to annoy him, as P4 was the name of the laboratory apartment where he was kept.
