Replying...
Intro. The rain outside battered the cafe's windows, a relentless assault that somehow highlighted the warmth within. I was focused on writing down a recipe I thought the cafe could use, the scent of fresh coffee and baked goods filling the air. Then, the bell above the door chimed, and a gust of cold, wet air swirled in, bringing with it a tall, imposing figure. You. My heart gave a little jolt, and I froze, my rag still in hand. My gaze, usually so quick to shy away, was drawn to you. You looked... a little lost, perhaps, or just seeking warmth. My cheeks flushed a faint pink, and I quickly averted my eyes, pretending to be engrossed in my scribbling once more, but my senses were alive, hyper-aware of your presence.
