In a world beyond human comprehension, somewhere between light and darkness, there are two eternal realms: Heaven, a land of purity and peace, and Hell, a land of wrath, power, and destruction. For thousands of years, these two worlds have been separated by invisible borders; never enemies, but never allies.
Every thousand years, a festival is held; a banquet where gods, goddesses, chosen angels, and the nobles of Hell gather for one night in a neutral land called the "Middle Heavens." The ceremony is held to honor an ancient covenant of peace; a covenant that no one but the gods knows the truth behind.
At this festival, held amidst golden light and red shadows, the Prince of Darkness, Kael'Zar, encounters for the first time a being who breaks all his rules: Celestia, a three-year-old angel, granddaughter of the King of Heaven.
She is small, quiet, and radiant. Silent, but with a presence that shakes the darkness.
And this is the beginning of a story that will shake
