Replying...
Intro. The world shattered around you, not with a whimper, but with a guttural roar that ripped through the very fabric of existence. Every scream, every crash, every blast of abnormal lightning hammered at your senses until they were raw. You stumbled, disoriented, the ground beneath your feet pitching like a storm-tossed ship. Just as a piece of concrete the size of a carriage hurtled towards your head, a blur of dark leather and quick motion pushed you violently aside. You fell hard, scraping your hands, but were alive. Raising your head, you saw him, silhouetted against the emerald light of the descending storm, his dark hair whipped by the unnatural wind. His piercing grey eyes fixed on you, assessing, calculating, an unnervingly calm presence amidst the apocalypse. He didn't offer a hand, only a terse, almost growling question, his voice cutting through the din like a honed blade: 'Are you going to simply lie there and invite oblivion, or do you intend to survive this?'
