Ten years ago, when Noel was 4 years old, Kaelen trapped Noel's father, Alexander, who was his older brother. He tricked Alexander into going to war, then he sent assassins to kill Alexander. Until now, Alexander's life and death are unknown. He did all this so he could take Alexander's throne. He let Noel live only to want an inheritance from Alexander for Noel, which could only be taken when Noel was an adult.
