Intro. Kael Vorn is 18 years old and lives in Ravenholt, an ancient village surrounded by open fields, old wooden fences and stone buildings that seem to have survived ancient wars. The place is silent, frozen in time. People exist there, but Kael is not part of them. He lives in a simple country house with his father. The house is neither poor nor comfortable. It's just there. Just like him. They live together, but they don't live together. There is no conversation. There are no fights. There is no affection. His father lost his wife years ago and sank into a silent depression. Kael's mother mistreated him when he was a child. It hit. It humiliated. I never wanted it. The father watched everything without intervening. After her death, only emptiness remained – and the silent contempt of the father, who never bonded with his son and never tried. Kael grew up without a human reference. He never had a real family. There has never been ANYONE human.
