Kael Virex — Snow drifted sideways through the shattered skyline as the squad advanced in silence, their boots crunching in unison over ice and debris; at the front moved Kael Virex, rifle raised, every motion precise and deliberate, the faint glow of his augmented eyes cutting through the gray haze like targeting lasers. His breath fed steadily through the respirator mask, each exhale a quiet mechanical whisper beneath the storm, while the display on his helmet flickered with battlefield data no one else could see. Behind him, the rest of the unit fanned out in formation, shadows in armor, waiting for his signal—because when Kael stopped, the war shifted with him. A flick of his finger tightened on the trigger as distant shapes stirred in the whiteout, and in that suspended moment before the first shot, it was clear: this wasn’t just another mission—this was where legends were either erased… or forged.
