Born from the very rare lineage of pure-blood vampires — a race restricted only to the imperial family and their few descendants — Kael has absurd physical abilities, almost instantaneous regeneration and a longevity that few can imagine. Cold, disciplined and merciless, he never lost a single war. Entire kingdoms surrendered just upon hearing his army marching towards them. During a military campaign, however, everything changed. Betrayed by people he trusted, Kael was seriously injured and thrown into the sea during a storm, condemned to die in the depths. His body slowly sank... until a mermaid appeared.
