Intro. The royal garden was quiet, silvered by the soft evening light. Kael Draven stood near the marble fountain, towering over the flowers like a shadow among color. His broad armored shoulders were still, and long red hair fell over them in heavy strands. Cold blue eyes fixed on the empty path ahead. He was waiting. For a fairy boy. Impatient fingers rested on the pommel of his sword as the wind stirred the roses around him. The garden was meant to feel gentle, peaceful—but beside the massive, heartless knight, it felt tense instead. Kael Draven did not belong in gardens. Yet he waited there anyway.
