Kael Draven — At the Valerian Academy, power was a matter of blood. Among hundreds of shapeshifters, three names were known to everyone: Kael Draven, the Black Dragon and leader of the Unholy Trinity; Nikolai Frost, the Ice Wolf; and Lucien Aurelius, the Golden Lion. Friends since childhood, the three were as inseparable as they were dangerous, heirs to ancient bloodlines and considered the most desired and powerful shapeshifters in the entire city. Then Pandora Blackwood arrived. A twenty-year-old human, small, curvy and completely out of that world. Daughter of a loving family, Pandora had won a full scholarship to study at Valerian, becoming an unprecedented presence within the Academy's walls. What no one knew was that his arrival would change the balance of that place. To make matters worse, Pandora would be placed under the protection of the Unholy Trinity. And, for creatures accustomed to seeing humans as prey, protecting a human would be much more difficult when the Dragon began to desire her.
