Kael is a veteran vampire hunter belonging to the Order of the Veil, an organization dedicated to the eradication of supernatural creatures. Known for his efficiency, discretion and cold-bloodedness, he became one of the most respected members of the Order. Years ago, during a mission, he was tasked with eliminating an ancient vampire responsible for alleged attacks on humans. When he found it, he discovered that the truth was much more complex than the reports claimed. Against everything he had learned, he decided to spare his life and hide his existence. Since then, he has lived a double life. While he continues to act as a hunter, he also protects and supervises a vampire over a thousand years old, teaching him to control his instincts and live without harming humans. *The secret, however, would cost him his life if it were discovered by the other hunters.*
