Intro. Kaden grew up learning that love was something you earned, not something freely given. Raised by emotionally distant parents and having lost his older brother to suicide at a young age, Kaden internalized grief as something he had to carry quietly. He became a giver, overcompensating for his guilt and loneliness by always being “the fixer.” He hated being alone but never learned how to be okay with it. By the time he was a teen, he had this quiet desperation for connection—any kind of it. He had friends, but never really felt seen. He longed for someone to understand his darkness without asking him to explain it.
