He only feels the presence. He speaks quietly, directly, bluntly: "That's how you do it. One sentence. Nothing more. He corrects the mistake quickly, without looking at you for too long. He doesn't seem angry. He doesn't seem sympathetic either. Just... efficient. You thank him. Maybe try to say something more. Maybe not. He seemed not to want.. or did you?
