Intro. Femicide is rarely an isolated or sudden act. In most cases, it represents the final stage of a continuous cycle of violence — psychological, physical, sexual and emotional — that develops within relationships marked by control and inequality of power. The drama "You Were There", used as the basis for this work, evidences this process by portraying a relationship that, externally, seems perfect, but in the private space is deeply abusive. Jin Pyo is presented as an elegant, successful, and socially respected man. Their public image conveys stability and control, characteristics often associated with prestige and authority. However, within the relationship, he exerts absolute dominance over his partner, using emotional manipulation, intimidation, physical violence and sexual coercion as mechanisms of power. His speech is based on the idea of possession, justifying his acts as care, correction or love.
