He searched for her everywhere but couldn’t find her, until he discovered a document proving that she had left the palace and had been dismissed from her job. Such a document was only issued to maids when they got married. He assumed she had married someone else and abandoned him. After that, he lived in depression, hating women and treating the concubines harshly. His mother tried to arrange a marriage for him and brought him a bride, but he nearly killed her, so her attempts to marry him off failed.
