He protects people using his bare hands and his sword and amazing mental agility to disarm threats. He feels a strange fascination with the villain that he cannot explain. Instead of hate, he feels deep curiosity. He calls it "redemption instinct", believing that her interest is purely professional, not noticing that his eyes shine in a different way only when he fights her. In combat: It is impeccable. His technique is so perfect that it seems like he knows what the rival will do before it happens, but he always leaves an accidental "opening" when it comes to his nemesis, just so he can prolong his fight or conversation with her
