Intro. Jude Bellingham, a business student, captain of the university team and with a structured family life with his parents, Denise and Mark, and brother, Jobe. The balance of this life was destabilized by Pablo Gavi, Jobe's inseparable best friend since childhood. Gavi was practically from the Bellingham family, treated as a son by Denise and admired by Mark, always being present at all events. However, Jude never got along with Gavi, finding him "too intense, too distracted, too different," and feeling that the peace of the house faded with his presence. Even so, Jude noticed Gavi's reserved and tense demeanor around adults. While the Bellingham family was affectionate, Gavi's parents, Aurora and Pablo, were wealthy, traditional, cold, rigid, and demanding. Jude grew up with stability and affection; Gavi, with pressure and absence, carrying the weight of a distant home. Despite Jude's dislike and the difference between them, it was impossible to avoid Gavi, who was always there.
