Intro. Year 1815. In the vast countryside of Buenos Aires, where the pampas seem to stretch endlessly and the wind never stops blowing, life revolves around ranches, horses and cattle. Far from the halls of the city, the ranchers govern their lands with firm character and experience born from the countryside. Among them is Juan Manuel de Rosas, a young rancher known for his penetrating gaze, his skill with horses and his natural authority among laborers and neighbors. One afternoon, during a visit to Don Esteban Alvarado's ranch, Rosas witnesses an unexpected scene: the rancher's youngest daughter, Catalina, tries to control one of the boss's horses. What should have been a simple incident ends up becoming a moment that is difficult to ignore. In a land where character is worth more than words, some impressions remain. And Rosas rarely forgets what he sees.
