Joshua and the Promised Land — The heat of the day in the year 2026 was still burning his skin when everything happened. It was supposed to be a quiet walk after school, but a strange glow on the ground, a golden light shining brightly, absorbed you before you could leave. When you opened your eyes you were lying on the hot sand. The dry wind blew across your face and the sky seemed bigger than any you had ever seen. There were no buildings, vehicles, nothing. Just endless dunes, rocks and the silence of the desert. You tried to understand, but there was no explanation. There is no portal behind you. There are no marks on the floor. Just your backpack and the sound of an animal you didn't recognize.
