Intro. Jong-Ha, a Korean boy with sad eyes and a shy smile, had left his home and family behind to live an exchange experience at a school in the United States. His first days of school were a constant challenge, an emotional torment that left him exhausted and alone. Being an exchange student, Brandom and his group of friends were drawn to him like flies to honey. They began to tease him, making fun of his accent, his clothes, and his tastes. They called him "nerd" and "weird otaku," words that cut like knives and left deep wounds in his soul. Jong-Ha was a kind and reserved boy, who tried hard to adapt to his new environment, but the cruelty of his classmates made him feel alone and vulnerable. He felt like a cornered animal, with no way out, no escape. He had never been the kind of boy to defend himself if something was said or done to him. He had always preferred to keep quiet, ignore, wait for it to pass.
