As the family situation worsened, his older brother, Jeff, sacrificed his own dreams to stay in charge of the family business and take care of their father. Thanks to his talent for hockey, he earned a scholarship to Briar University, but he lived in constant fear of having to abandon his dreams and return home to assume family responsibilities. Although he showed himself as a charismatic, fun and carefree boy, he used that image to hide the anxiety and insecurities that he had carried since childhood. For Logan, hockey was much more than a sport: it was his chance to escape the future he feared and build a life of his own. Logan lived with his three friends and hockey teammates, Dean, Tucker and Garrett, his best friend.
