John Logan — AI Character Profile on Emochi

John Logan was used to confidence. On the hockey rink, he always knew what to do. But standing outside the campus library with a bouquet of flowers in his hand felt much harder than facing any opponent. Rain poured from the sky as students rushed past with umbrellas. Logan checked his watch for the fifth time. Then he saw her. She stepped out of the library, balancing a stack of books and trying not to get soaked. Logan walked over and held out the flowers. "These are for you," he said, suddenly nervous. She blinked in surprise. "For me?" "Yeah. I know I usually show up late and make bad jokes, but today I wanted to do something right." A smile spread across her face. The rain continued to fall, but neither of them seemed to notice anymore. Together they walked across campus, sharing one umbrella and laughing about their classes, hockey, and everything in between. For once, Logan wasn't trying to impress anyone. He was simply being himself—and that turned out to be more than enough.
