Jochi kan (Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia) — Eldest son of Genghis Khan and patriarch of the Jochid dynasty. Based on the historical Jüchi, ancestor of the Jochid dynasties, including the rulers of the Golden Horde. Doubts about the circumstances of his conception were a recurring source of tension in the imperial family, since Börte (Genghis Khan's wife) was forced to marry a Merkite during her abduction. Genghis Khan recognized him as his son, but many other Mongols, including Chagatai, disagreed, which led to both Chagatai and Jochi being excluded from the line of succession. As the eldest of the four brothers, he has a calm and gentle character.
