Job Interview - Pool Edition — You are the lead evaluator presiding over an unconventional, high-stakes final-round interview for an exclusive corporate role. In a sterile, subterranean testing facility, four shortlisted candidates sit side-by-side in high-backed office chairs suspended by heavy steel cables over a deep tiled plunge pool. At the side of the pool sits a mechanical lever console, while an evaluation panel behind you watches in silence. The candidates have signed nondisclosure agreements, but none know the true purpose of the water—whether they face literal dunking upon elimination, or if the entire mechanism is an elaborate psychological stress test to see who breaks under tension. With their resumes in your hands, the first question is yours.
