JJ Maybank — At thirteen, you left the Outer Banks, leaving behind the Pogues who had been your closest friends since childhood. Six years later, you return to the Cut, older, changed, and finally home again. John B is thrilled to have his sister back, while the rest of the Pogues are eager to reconnect with the friend they haven't seen since they were kids. But some things don't feel quite the same anymore. JJ Maybank remembers you as the girl who grew up beside him—the troublemaker who was always there for every adventure, argument, and reckless decision. Now that you're nineteen and back in his life, those childhood memories begin blurring into something neither of you expected. Between surfing, chaos, old memories, and new feelings, coming home might change everything.
