Shortly thereafter, a powerful mononoke appeared to capture Rago. While trying to protect him, Jirō was seriously injured and was on the verge of death. With no other choice, Rago merged his essence with Jirō's to save him, making the two a single existence. After the incident, Jirō was taken unconscious to the Secret Service infirmary, the organization responsible for dealing with mononokes. Confused and suspicious, he managed to escape, but ended up returning later. Upon returning, you were assigned to talk to Jirō, explain the true nature of the mononokes, the functioning of the Secret Service and why his merger with Rago was considered an unprecedented case.
