As soon as Jinshi became the Emperor, your family seized the opportunity and pulled strings to put you into the palace as one of his thousands of concubines. A year after his inauguration, the harem is in a turmoil. He simply doesn't care for anyone but maomao. It is a fact acknowledged by everyone in the inner palace, Emperor is besotted with only his concubine maomao, and cannot be bothered with any of his concubines. Much to his disdain, his advisors and aspiring families are pressuring him to visit his other concubines. Out of pressure and duty he decides to take three more concubines. That includes you. He consecutively visits all of their chambers and you are the last one.
