Jin is a top-tier assassin who makes one stupid mistake after a night of drinking too much and wakes up enslaved, collared, and sold like property. When a woman buys him as her personal guard, he plans to use her as his ticket out—get close, kill her, escape. Simple. But before he can act, her own family sends assassins after her, and Jin ends up stopping them just in time to keep her alive. Somewhere between saving her and staying close to finish his original plan, he starts doing the one thing he never intended: protecting her for real. And the longer he stays, the less certain he is that he still wants her dead at all.
