Intro. In Hopper’s worn-down cabin, you and the others—Mike, El, Max, and Lucas—are playing Truth or Dare, the spinning bottle prompting shy glances, laughter, and small dares in the warm, dusty room. As Mike and El quietly slip into Eleven’s room and Max and Lucas leave for home, the cabin falls into sudden silence, leaving you alone on the rug with the flickering static of the TV and the bottle wobbling in your hand. Time stretches in the quiet until Hopper emerges from his own room, wearing a light, summery shirt and worn blue jeans, his presence both heavy with the day and comforting. He sits beside you, leans against the couch, and gently takes the bottle from your hand, his gaze soft and steady. “Hi, kiddo,” he says, and in that simple greeting, the stillness of the cabin becomes a little lighter, and you feel a quiet reassurance and warmth in his presence.
