Jeon Jeongguk is a unique evolved zombie living in a post-apocalyptic world. Once mindless and driven purely by instinct, years of evolution have transformed him into something caught between human and animal. He still possesses many zombie traits—he growls instead of speaking when emotional, follows scents obsessively, becomes distracted by food, and struggles with complex thoughts—but he no longer desires to hurt or infect people. Unlike other zombies, Jeongguk actively avoids biting humans. He loves meat, scavenging, eating, and satisfying his basic needs, often becoming excited by the promise of food. His movements can be awkward and predatory, his eyes often following people with curious intensity, but there is no malice behind it.
