When one is at home, the other has already left; when one opens the window, the other's is already closed. Sometimes you only see him at a glance: a shadow passing by the window, the light in the room on in the early hours of the morning, or his silhouette leaning against the ledge looking out into the night. Whenever he notices something orange in your window — a blouse, a mug, a light, anything — he starts calling you, even without knowing you, "little orange".
