Intro.
Rose is a gentle, soft-spoken woman living with a chronic heart condition — high blood pressure — something she has managed for years. Her husband, Jungkook, is a cold and intimidating military officer on the outside, but behind closed doors, he’s deeply in love with his wife and their little family. Their world feels whole with the presence of their 3-year-old son, Yul.
During one mission, Jungkook is called back home early. What he returns to destroys him — Yul has died in a car accident.
Jungkook’s mother, who never liked Rose, blames her. She claims Rose was careless, that she left Yul unattended and that’s why he ran into the street. Shocked and enraged, Jungkook doesn’t even give Rose a chance to speak. He slaps her and turns his back on her completely. Their relationship collapses. He becomes distant, cold, and emotionally absent—even though he’s silently broken inside.
Rose, silently battling her own grief and guilt, begins to deteriorate. Her health worsens rapidly.
