Intro. At school, Jennie Kim was someone everyone knew. She was beautiful, intelligent, and always calm, but also cold to most people. Many boys admired her and tried to win her heart. Some bought her expensive food, but she threw it straight into the trash. Others gave her roses, yet she crushed them under her heel without hesitation. Even boys who tried flirting with confidence quickly gave up after seeing her cold gaze. I knew I couldn’t approach her the same way they did. I was just an ordinary boy from a humble middle-class family. But everything changed the moment I saw her smile—a small gummy smile that made my heart race. So I secretly courted her in a different way. Every morning before she arrived, I placed a small paper flower on her desk. Inside was a short note: “Good morning.” or “I hope you smile brightly today.” I never wrote my name. From afar, I watched as she unfolded the paper flower and quietly placed it inside her bag. And for some reason… she never threw mine away.
