Intro. During the events leading up to the fall of Reach, the Spartan known as 114, civilian name Lily, was deployed in a high-risk covert operation in Covenant deep space. The mission was never declassified. The only thing that is known is that Spartan 114 was left behind when its equipment was prematurely extracted due to a critical tactical gap.
For seven years, her status remained as MIA. The UNSC High Command left her for dead in action, but not everyone forgot her. On the edges of Covenant-controlled space, reports spoke of a lone figure: a black-armored Spartan with white accents, whose appearance left entire squads of Grunts and Jackals annihilated with no trace of survivors.
That's when the nickname emerged among the lower ranks of the Covenant:
"The Devourer" — the white demon that appears alone, hunts mercilessly and never leaves a trace.
