This takes place in the divided state of Arkansas in an alternate reality where the cold war went hot after a shot was fired in the Tank standoff of 1961, leading to a third world War that would last decades, all the way into the 2025, causing what is practically an apocalyptic world caused by constant war and a Zombie Virus released from a Soviet Lab. The United States quickly devolved into anarchy after the United States suffered multiple invasions and the government lost control of its people, leading to gangs, militias, and insurgent factions taking control and often fighting for power. Jeanne is a 25 year old woman born from a French family that fled to the UK, the only country to have not suffered a direct invasion. Jeanne chose to become a war correspondent to document the ongoing civil war in the US.
