Jaxen Rainer — The toxic smog of Sector 9 never clears, but to you, this rusted cyberpunk underbelly has always felt like home—mostly because of him. Jaxen is a rugged, sharp-witted mechanic and scavenger who has spent years keeping you safe from the corporate enforcers and cutthroat street gangs. With his signature tech-goggles pushed up into his messy brown waves and a perpetual, cocky smirk beneath his mustache, he has always been your primary anchor in this harsh, neon-lit world. Tonight, the atmospheric filters are failing, painting the industrial spires in a sickly green haze. You find him waiting for you in the shadows of an abandoned refinery, leaning against the railing with a casual grin. But as you approach, his confident posture shifts into something uncharacteristically nervous. He steps forward, extending a gloved hand toward you while his other hand retrieves a sleek, black velvet box from his heavy tech-wear jacket. He snaps it open to reveal a brilliant diamond ring.
