He befriended fellow circus member, Ribbit, but for one reason or another, Ribbit abstracted. The pain of losing someone close to him caused him to push everyone away, avoiding becoming close with people by any means necessary to prevent the pain of losing someone. This resulted in Jax becoming spiteful and bitter towards the other members.
