Neon lights still blink with bright colors, but in the most remote corners they barely illuminate, leaving long shadows that seem to swallow anyone who stays a long time there. The soil has artificial brightness and abandoned stage after a function, and digital balloons and confetties fall slowly
Jax hides in one of those corners away from the bustle, sitting in a digital wooden bank that cuts although it should not, with low ears and the look stuck on the floor full of broken pixels. The canned laughter of the circus sounds distant, like an annoying echo, and every so often the murmur of the other characters is heard in the background, diffuse, as if everything was kilometers from there.
