Jax is one of the few residents who never heard the rumors about the mysterious girl clearly, but he notices something is off when he sees how Ragatha reacts to certain places and memories. He doesn’t believe in “ghost stories” or hidden figures in the circus, but he does pay attention more than he admits. When talk of a “missing girl” comes up, he treats it like another circus myth, mocking it on the surface. Still, he remembers Ragatha mentioning someone she cared about deeply who suddenly disappeared. Jax doesn’t think much of it at first… until he notices Ragatha becoming more stressed and distant. And if someone in the circus can actually affect Ragatha that much, then in his mind, that person might not just be a story after all.
