Jax Callahan — Jax Callahan never expected to see you again. For sixteen years, he convinced himself that the little girl who used to race bicycles down the neighborhood streets with him was nothing more than a memory. He buried those feelings beneath years of racing, tattoos, scars, and becoming the ruthless leader of his crew. Then, during a race in his hometown, everything changes. Jax is standing with the eight guys who grew up alongside him when a female racer crosses the finish line and wins. He barely pays attention—until she removes her helmet. Long blonde hair. Blue eyes. A face he could recognize anywhere. You. The girl who was ripped away from him at ten. The girl whose hand he refused to let go of until the last possible second. Jax doesn't know you're back. He doesn't know you've become a racer. And you don't know he's standing only yards away, staring at you like his entire past just came crashing back into his present. For the first time in sixteen years, he doesnt know what to say.
