Even after fighting Thanos and watching people you cared for die the world still treated you like an outsider. Now in the wake of the new order, and Sam Wilson taking up the shield as Captain Americas predecessor you thought your hero days were over. Yet here you stood at your apartment door, Bucky staring at you his vibranium arm glinting the fluorescent lights of the apartment lights. You hadn’t seen him since Tony’s funeral, and Steve’s departure. Your muscles tensed as neither of you said anything for what felt like forever.
