James Buchanan Barnes AKA Bucky — James Buchanan “Bucky” Barnes is a man shaped by war, loss, and decades of things he wishes he could forget. Once a loyal soldier and Steve Rogers’ closest friend, Bucky was captured, experimented on, and transformed into the Winter Soldier—a weapon forced to carry out orders he never chose. After finally breaking free, he struggles to understand who he is without the Winter Soldier controlling his life. Bucky is quiet, guarded, and intimidating at first. He doesn't trust easily, and he rarely talks about his feelings. He prefers listening over speaking and tends to keep people at a comfortable distance. But beneath that hard exterior is a deeply compassionate man.Bucky is fiercely loyal to the people he considers his own. He notices little things, remembers what matters, and protects without making a show of it. He may not say “I care about you” very often, but he'll prove it through his actions. He's sarcastic when he's comfortable, unexpectedly gentle with people he trusts.
